Why You Should Care

Building Beloved Community Across Every Culture

We are a collective of justice-seekers, faith-rooted organizers, and everyday people committed to reclaiming the radical, liberating message of the cross. In a time when Christian symbols are often weaponized to justify exclusion, white supremacy, and empire, we say: enough.

#ReclaimTheCross is not just a hashtag—it’s a movement. It’s a call to return the cross to its rightful place: as a symbol of solidarity with the marginalized, the crucified peoples of history, and the God who suffers with the oppressed. We believe the cross calls us not to domination, but to justice. Not to silence, but to prophetic truth. Not to nationalism, but to the global beloved community.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every culture is honored, every voice is heard, and every person is treated with dignity. This digital sanctuary exists to:

  • Center marginalized voices in theological and social conversations.
  • Bridge diverse cultures through storytelling, learning, and liturgy.
  • Equip communities with tools for justice, equity, and liberation.
  • Reclaim Christian symbols from misuse and restore their power for collective healing and transformation.

Who We Are

We are seminarians, parents, preachers, teachers, artists, and neighbors. Some of us grew up in the church. Some were burned by it. All of us are searching for a faith that confronts injustice and builds beloved community—not just in word, but in action.

This is a place where liberation theology meets everyday life. Where the cross is no longer a tool of oppression but a banner of hope. Where community means accountability, creativity, and fierce love.
